New finds for the sonically inclined

In my late night/early morning search of the internet, I always come across new music and decided to share my findings. Today's installment comes from a group from Brooklyn, NY. The Rising Sun All stars and their song Lucky Monday. If you like it support them. If you don't keep it to yourself.

Enjoy!

Sesame Street has done it again

Never let be said that Sesame Street stops reaching people once they leave kindergarten. This chocolate colored puppet is back to show that she can be whoever she wants to  be. Great message for kids, even better for some of us adults who from time to time may feel down on ourselves and our occupational outlook.

Dark Girls

This is a topic that is deeply rooted in the African/American community and has been discussed by other races. The topic is the beauty or disdain of sisters of a darker hue. There is a documentary coming out that is bringing this topic to the forefront. It speaks of the ugly names, hurt feelings, emotional despair, stereotypes, and ultimately the beauty of my sisters. Following is a preview/trailer of the Bill Duke production "Dark Girls". Hopefully, this film forces to stop talking down to each other and open the lines of communication to help us heal and to share and celebrate our beauty with our future generations of every race. We are ALL BEAUTIFUL.
