This is a topic that is deeply rooted in the African/American community and has been discussed by other races. The topic is the beauty or disdain of sisters of a darker hue. There is a documentary coming out that is bringing this topic to the forefront. It speaks of the ugly names, hurt feelings,emotional despair, stereotypes, and ultimately the beauty of my sisters. Following is a preview/trailer of the Bill Duke production "Dark Girls". Hopefully, this film forces to stop talking down to each other and open the lines of communication to help us heal and to share and celebrate our beauty with our future generations of every race.
